Which Length of Hair Extensions Do I Need?

Here’s the truth: Not every hair length is suitable for every person.

Why?

✅ Extensions add weight.
✅ Super long hair requires strong, healthy natural hair to support it.
✅ Overloading short or fine hair with long extensions can cause tension and breakage.

Our general rule:
→ Your extensions should be no more than 3–4 inches longer than your natural hair for the most seamless, healthy result.

Example:

• If your natural hair is 16″ → best to choose 18″ or 20″ extensions.

How Do I Measure My Hair Length?

Here’s how to check your current hair length:

1. Take a tape measure.
2. Place it about 2.5 cm (1 inch) above your ear.
3. Measure straight down to where your hair ends.

This gives you a realistic idea of how long extensions will fall compared to your natural length.

Straight, Wavy, or Curly — Does It Matter?

Yes — texture affects how long your extensions appear.

✅ Straight hair: True measured length.
✅ Wavy hair: Appears ~2 inches shorter.
✅ Curly hair: Appears ~4–6 inches shorter.

So if you’re buying curly or wavy hair, consider going slightly longer to get your desired look.

Minimum Natural Hair Length for Extensions

Although some extensions can work on very short hair, we recommend:

✅ A minimum natural hair length of 4″–5″ for a seamless blend.

This helps hide the transition between your own hair and the extensions.
